12 Days Of Fitmas - Day 5

What did you all think of yesterday's pose and recipe? Tiger pose is such a nice stretch and those chocolate superfood bites sound delicious! Today we have a nice stretch to really open up your chest. We also have a yummy veggie dish that you can add to your holiday meal.

Upward Facing Dog

To begin, lie flat on your stomach with your arms bent and hands placed next to your shoulders. Inhale deeply and push yourself up off the mat, lifting your chest and hips off the floor while straightening your arms. If you are comfortable (and have no neck issues) you can let your head fall back slightly and look up. I am demonstrating a beginner modification. However, if you want more of a challenge, lift your legs slightly off the floor as well. Keep your thighs squeezed tight and your feet firmly on the floor.

I found this recipe on Good Housekeeping and it sounds super easy! It's a great way to jazz up some veggies for a nice, healthy side dish this holiday season.
